Does anyone else get "blind spots" or what is referred to as "negative scotemas" from getting cotton wool spots from their Retinopathy?

I guess what I mean is, areas in the vision, that start out as areas with cotton wool spots... very much the same as your natural blind spot.. your brain fills it in, but the part of the small part of retina corresponding to the damaged retina still has drop out. if you put a arrow cursor from your computer in that spot, it would suddenly disappear, but the back ground would still be there because your brain fills in the gaps. I get this from almost any cotton wool spot I get and it is pretty terrifying, even though I have good A1cs and no PDR. I guess from what my Joslin eye dr says it does not really affect daily vision and , but it still bothers me there are areas of dying retina as a result of the ischemia. Highs or lows seem to cause it and my brittle T1 for 35 years seems to have little room for error.
