Meet New Community Manager Cynthia Rogers-Celt

Meet Cynthia Rogers-Celt! Cynthia will take over as Community Manager of TuDiabetes on February 29th, and we could not be more excited to introduce her to you.  Cynthia is smart, creative, enthusiastic, a little Canadian and a little whacky…

Cynthia has lived with type one diabetes for 19 years, diagnosed at the age of 19.  She earned her B.A. in Spanish and French from the University of North Dakota,  completed graduate studies in Immunology and Teaching English as a New Language at Saint Cloud State University and is completing her specialist program in Educational Administration at the University of Idaho. Cynthia’s career in education has included ESL teacher, instructional coach, peer mentor and professional development consultant.  She currently also teaches online education and technology  course for Treasure Valley Community College.

In her work, she has coordinated social media, web design, digital communication and discussion platforms.  She is active in the DOC, and you may have run into her at last year’s Diabetes UnConference in Las Vegas, TCOYD conference in San Diego or Type One Summit Sacramento. Cynthia is active in many diabetes groups in her community, serving as a diabetes mentor and ambassador advocating support and community for all people living with and loving those with diabetes.

You may also run into Cynthia on her bike, on a plane, camping, walking pup Roxy, singing O’Canada, eating or shopping the local food markets.
