One tip I might add - always leave the needle in place for about 10 seconds - that always ensures that nothing spurts back out when you remove the syringe!

Well, before getting on the pump, I was always a slowpoke. I'd touch a spot with the tip of the needle and if it hurt, I'd move it to another spot. This ALWAYS resulted in painless shots. If I were foolish enough to go into a painful spot, it was a painful shot. YMMV!!
