Mike,

Please seek help, even if it's just to talk. If you feel you can't speak to anyone else then please send me a message here and I will reply with my personal email so that you can contact me. I am here for you. Don't feel that you can't vent to anyone here, at the very least there's ME!

I’m new to this "tudiabetes" thing, but I am hoping to connect with some fellow diabetics in order to "vent" and discuss.
I can attest to depression and diabetes and I can barely drag myself out of bed each day. I have a wonderful wife, a beautiful son and one on the way (due in Oct) , yet I am always sad and miserable...

Not suicidal by any means, but just feel like has gotten the best of me and that I’m doomed to be depressed for ever.....Hopefully there is someone on this post that can relate......I would love to chat. thanks, Mike

Thank you for this post. I have just been diagnosed with GAD, and it is a nightmare. 7 months of these feelings is unbearable (many life changes all at once). It is a terrible feeling, like you stated the worst. I am in the process of counseling and finally this Monday a Psychiatrist (hard to get in). I have not slept through the night in months, huge weight loss, barely functioning at work, and all I want is to do nothing, it is a horrible life right now. I have tried many drugs and hopefully Monday we will find the right drug therapy. My counselor stated to me she has never seen someone with such sleep issues. Once again thanks for stating all the things I am feeling and that I feel no one truly gets the severity.
