Diabetes and the Heart
Diabetes is associated with cardiovascular disease in that it raises your blood sugar. A person with diabetes may have more trouble with atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease. Dr. Kim Pugh says heart disease and diabetes go hand in hand but it’s over a long period of time.
