In an effort to raise awareness of the risks of uncontrolled diabetes and help patients take the first step toward staying healthy, the Ad Council has partnered with the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) to make diabetes patients more aware of their true risk for certain diabetes-related complications. The campaign encourages adult patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to speak with their healthcare providers about how to successfully managing their health and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
