Please accept my condolences. I know well the emptiness the beloved friend leaves behind. What a beautiful boy.
I work in animal rescue & wish our shelter ones all had families like yours to love them.
My Walt died several years ago from a ruptured spleen. Like your Buddy, he showed no symptoms of being ill. We left for work & Walt was his usual happy self. When my husband got home, Walt was splayed out on the floor looking dazed. Tim rushed him to our vet, but nothing could be done. Walt died peacefully at home several hours later. The shock of it was unbearable.
I hope your grief heals soon. Sending hugs to help cushion some of the pain.
