there are many more but we don't know about them.this TUDIABETES opened up a new world for me. i am learning so much & making friends.i'm sure we all learn from each other :)

@shoshana: In my 70 years of T1, there have been only three other people I have communicated with who have diabetes longer than me. The first was a man who worked for my father at UPS in the 1040s - he was T2. The second was the girl in the 8th grade - she didn't know I was diabetic, and I didn't know she was diabetic. I found out about her at the 50th reunion, after she had passed away. The third was one of the brothers from Syracuse, at Joslin in 2005. And you are the fourth!

TOM B yes every thing was the same in france i suppose...except food was healthy & every thing was weighed raw & then cooked.i was very strict with food

@shoshana27 - Since your first years of diabetes were in France, I'm curious whether the Benedict's solution urine test was also used in France during those years. I don't think there was anything else, but figured I had better ask.
