No child should die of diabetes. More than 75,000 children under 14 get type 1 diabetes every year.

While in developed countries, children with type 1 diabetes can lead full, productive lives, in developing countiries those without access to insulin and proper medical care can die within a year.

Almost a century after the discovery of insulin, it is unacceptable that this life-sustaining drug is not accessible to all those who require it to live.

There are some doctors in Philadelphia that travel to developing worlds with medication (diabetes, hiv-aids, leukemia, etc.) When I switched from humolog to Novolog, I donated the 2 unopened humolog bottles to the organization. A group of doctors leave every two months
