You're really not abnormal at all. To be fair, I grew up in Puerto Rico, with a different culture, where alcohol is a NORMAL part of every day life. We really do not have laws that say minors can't drink, or that they can't buy alcohol... Nor is anyone ever carded. Believe it or not, kids over there don't really have an interest in binge drinking, or seeing who can pound the most away. That doesn't mean people don't occasionally abuse alcohol at parties, etc... Or that some people don't have a substance abuse problem... But that we don't have the whole college/binge drinking/drink for the sake of drinking mentality down there. I guess when you can drink any time you want, and your parents/friends/neighbors don't condemn you for it, alcohol sort of loses it's allure... and it's no longer a huge deal anymore. No one celebrates "coming of age so they can drink alcohol," like they do here in the USA when people turn 21... In short, no one cares. lol
So if ya don't want to do drink, then don't drink. Alcohol isn't for binging and getting drunk, anyway. It's for a mellow, occasional moment, of relaxation and enjoying the good company of friends. Most alcohol doesn't even taste good. lol If anyone pressures you about drinking, they prolly shouldn't even be your friend.
